This one is a special one, in September 2024 harry injured his ACL at a tournament, he had to undergo surgery and missed the entire 2025 season. During that time he has worked through his rehab, got himself back on court and back playing competitive badminton which is amazing!

We are all so proud of the determination and dedication he has shown to get back to this level. What a brilliant start to the new year!

Also had some great performances leading to improved rankings and also some first tournament experiences for some recently. So, well done to Oscar Lok, Sara Cheema, Jamie Reid, Evan Pollard, Jonny Andrews, Adam Shepherd, Tom Walters, nikhil Tennant and Jack Hartley.

Riley coulter played his first senior tournament this weekend and got to the quarter finals of the Hampshire Senior Tier 4.

Archie lok got to the quarter finals of the SBA U17 Bronze.

Ranking milestone for Harry Jones, who is now a senior top 16 ranked player nationally.

Adam Shepherd wins SILVER at the Cheshire Senior Silver, having a great win over the no.1 seed in the semi-finals.

Busy day today with lots of people competing but special mentions go to Philippa Warman and Liselotte van Balen, who won GOLD in the Warwickshire Senior Bronze. Their second ever tournament together and first win in the BE circuit.

Anthony Peverell, who won a BRONZE medal in his first ever senior tournament, again at the Warwickshire Bronze, losing out a very close 3 set game in the semi final!

Great results for Harry Jones on his way to making the quarter final of the English national Championships mens singles, losing out to the eventual winner, Johnnie Torjussen.

Riley coulter wins GOLD in the U17 Devon Bronze tournament.

He also played the U19 Devon Bronze yesterday and came away with a BRONZE medal, playing 2 age groups up. Great weekend, Riley!

SBA coached international players from Uganda, Wanagaliya Daniel Isreal and Ata Friday, for the week. They were so pleased with the training they received, they plan to return on their next visit to England.

BRONZE medal for Riley Coulter at the U17 Kent Bronze. This is Riley’s first ever medal and we couldn’t be any happier for him.

Congratulations go to Jess Street, who won GOLD in the mixed doubles in the East Anglia Tier 4. Making it 2 GOLDS from her last 2 tournaments 🥇 🥇

Riley Coulter also put in some gutsy performances to beat higher ranked players to get out of his group and into the last 16 at the DK Way U17 Bronze. That's two out of the last 3 now, having previously never gotten out of the box.

Also some great performances from Evan and Darwin, making the step up at the Webber Badminton U15 Silver, taking a set from the eventual winners.

We had 10 players taking part in various tournaments this last weekend, with a special mention to Liselotte van Balen who won GOLD in the women's doubles in the Scottish Highland Senior, and to Riley Coulter, who has made big improvements the last 6 months and made his first quarter final in an U17 Bronze.

Also, a special mention to Harry Jones, who has now broken the top 25 in the senior national rankings.

Congratulations to Harry Jones, who has broken into the top 10 junior national rankings, now ranked number 8!
