Can I trial a session?

Absolutely, we offer a free first session to all new players when a space is available!

Upon contacting us, we will discuss your current badminton level and invite you to a free trial in the session we think is most suited to you.

What do I need before I start?

All you need is suitable sports clothing and shoes, and a racket, then you're good to go!

Don't worry if your new to badminton and don't own a racket yet, your coach will be happy to lend you a Babolat racket during your session.

How is the time table for group sessions assigned?

Groups are made up of players of a similar standard to optimise the session strength. Therefore, your session is chosen so that the other players in your group suit you, giving you the best chance to progress and move to higher groups as you improve.

Will there be extra sessions during the school holidays?

Absolutely, our head coach has successfully ran holidays camps in the past and will continue to do so.
A great option for a committed players or for parents who still need to attend work during the days.

Does SBA have a kit?

We have a high quality club kit provided by Babolat in the iconic Dark Blue, printed with our club name and logo on the front.

Your shirt can also have your surname printed on the back for a small added fee.

Can I get the lower priced individual sessions?

Yes, if you are an active SBA member. This is classed as someone who attends at least one of the regular group sessions that they have been offered.
If you are not an active SBA member you will need to pay the full price.

Do I need to provide my own string for my racket to be restrung?

No, included in the cost is high quality string, so there is no additional fee.
When your racket is finished it will be brought to your session by the coach so there's no need to go out your way to collect.

Can parents/guardians watch the sessions?

Yes, we encourage parents to stay so that you can see 

We understand that sometimes parents are busy ad need to leave, in this case it is important that they just accompany their child into the hall to make sure the child meets the coach before leaving, and that they are back before the session ends.
